Born in New York in 1957, Jerry is a tri-lingual entrepreneur with over 20 years business experience in both Latin America and the United States. He studied Journalism and Communications at Georgia State (GSU) in Atlanta. He is owner of
PROXIMA LCS and has co-founded the following companies:



1980-1982 Spanish American Media Services - Editor and Associate Publisher
First independent Spanish-language news magazine for Hispanics in Georgia covering local cultural and community news. Spanish translation and interpretation services.

1984-1994 Aricar s.r.l. - Partner and Marketing Manager
Import/Export Management Company based in Buenos Aires assisting mid-size Argentine manufacturers in export research, marketing and sales. Responsible for developing all export marketing and promotional materials and for Marketing and Sales management for company’s activity as exclusive importer and distributor of L’eggs hosiery brand in Argentina from 1990 to 1994.

1995-1999 Place Art s.r.l. - Partner and Marketing Manager
A graphic design, publishing and advertising company in Buenos Aires active in:
- Graphic design outsourced from 2 leading international advertising agencies,
- Advertising & graphic production services provided to mid-size companies,
- Publishing of closed circulation trade magazines, major retailer inserts and catalogs.

Upon returning to the U.S. in 1999, Jerry was contracted to research and write the Forsyth Hispanic Action Plan for the local Hispanic Services Coalition. He currently directs Proxima LCS and is also managing partner at Language Links Inc., a Winston-Salem company established in 1999 specializing in teaching Spanish as a Second Language and providing language translation services in Spanish and other major languages.

 


Born in Buenos Aires in 1956, Daniel began working in advertising at age 20 as an illustrator. He studied at E.N.E.T Graphic Arts School and later majored in Communications at Universidad del Salvador. Daniel directs creativity and art for PROXIMA LCS and has worked for the following ad agencies in Argentina:

Design and production responsibility for accounts from three leading pharmaceutical corporations

This leading Argentine agency handled major local corporate accounts.

Responsible for the art and design for international accounts such as Adidas and LeCoq Sportif.

1991-1993 Creativa Publicidad - Art Director
Responsible for the art and design for several leading national corporate accounts

1995-2002 Place Art - Production and Art Director
Managed creativity and production for work outsourced from two international agencies
(Rainuzzo/DDB Needham and Rapp Collins) including creativity for American Airlines, FedEx,
McDonalds, ING and Mitsubishi.
